Hot flashes and night sweats - when menopause is too hot to handle.

We’ve been there. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the sensation of intense heat fills your face, flushes your cheeks, bakes your chest — from the inside. Hot flashes in menopausal women, also known as hot flushes, are a sensation of heat that can last from one to five minutes or more, leaving you anywhere from blushing red to drenched in sweat. At night, they can interrupt crucial sleep patterns, called night sweats, interfering with day-to-day activities.
